Alpha Beta Omega is the home of the 9th International President, Dr. Margaret Bowen.We are based in the city of New Orleans, LA and have serviced this community for more than 85 years. The Alpha Beta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated was chartered in New Orleans, Louisiana on July 23, 1927. We were the first Black Greek Letter sorority to plant its banner in the Crescent City, and the first Alpha Kappa Alpha Chapter in the state of Louisiana. We make every effort to address the needs of the Crescent City and to serve others with a sincere smile. We continue to focus on the goals and objectives of Alpha Kappa Alpha as we improve the quality of life for others.

Alpha Beta Omega is a chapter destined for greatness. We pull from the vine of sisterhood to propel us to even higher heights. It is from the fervor of our national leadership, the passion of our former chapter member-- Dr. Margaret Davis Bowen--and the perseverance of those members who still continue to serve in the midst of our struggle that Alpha Beta Omega continues to make Alpha Kappa Alpha reign "Supreme in Service to All Mankind."
